Q: How long does the Remapping take?A: 1-2 Hours is needed to remap your car as we carry out a full car diagnostics before and after. Q: Do I come to you, or are you mobile?A: We are mobile in the North West area 30miles radius to BB18 at a cost of £50, Or you can come out to our fully fitted workshop at BB18 5PX. Q: Can I wait with the Car?A: You are more than welcome to wait with us while the remapping is taking place, most people enjoy watching the process of the remap, but please be aware it does take a few hours. Q: Why don't the manufactures do this from standard?A: Manufacturers have to allow for the fact that the vehicle could be going anywhere in the world. This is significant because they have to allow for constantly hot climates very cold climates, and very poor fuels. They also have to allow for customers abusing the car, for example completely missing services. When we re-map your vehicle, it’s mainly for performance, however, it is also fine tuning the engine to run perfectly, as each individual engine is different. When we're finished, your car will run as it always should have done. Q: Can my car be remapped?A: We remap all VAG Car group cars so if you have a Audi / VW / Seat or Skoda the answer is yes we can remap your car, please email make, year and model of car you have to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Q: Why is re-mapping a better option than a plug in tuning box?A: The option other than a proper re-map is a plug in tuning box. We often get asked which is best. The simple answer is a full re-map. A tuning box simply gives false sensor values throughout the complete rev-range. The ECU is constantly told (or fooled) that not enough fuel is entering the engine, so it over-fuels the engine to gain performance. Although performance gains are made, these are at the cost of high emissions, higher engine temperatures, and general poor running of the engine. Many sellers of tuning boxes state that they are completely invisible, as they can be removed. This is not the case, diagnostics tools will show errors which have been caused by the incorrect fuelling. Problems related to tuning boxes are poor running, black smoking from the exhaust, rough idle, and clogged injectors and even engine's cutting out. Q: Why do you need to remove some ECU’s to be able to remap them?A: 95% of the time we can remap Cars through the OBD2 Diagnostics Connector, sometimes its not possible to communicate through the OBD2 usually this happens if the cars ECU has been tampered with before. So we simply have to remove the ECU from the Car and remap in on the bench in boot mode. There is a £50 extra charge if we have to remove the ECU. Q: What if I’m not happy with the Remap?A: Simple, we will put the car back to standard and give a full 100% Refund, this hasn’t happened as yet as all our customers are more than happy and usually recommend us to friends. Q: If in the future I decided to sell the car and would like it back standard could you do this?A: Yes we store all original ECU Maps in our Database so it’s a simple cast of just remapping the original map back to the car. Q: Do you Guarantee the Remap?A: Yes all out work is carried out by a professional and fully Guaranteed. |
